NATIONAL MEMORIAL ARBORETUM

London based Squint / Opera approached me to direct a video installation for the National Memorial Arboretum.

Inspired by the seasons and the cyclical nature of life, the film explores the function of the arboretum within the national psyche, and the symbolic role of monuments to the dead. It deals with themes of sacrifice, rebirth, and remembrance through interviews, shot footage, found footage, and poetry readings.

This emotional and powerful film is on permanent display at the Arboretum.
